Job summary

Shopping Center Management Corporation, group company of SM Supermalls, seeks a facilities engineer to supervise mall equipment operations and utilities for safe, efficient performance. The role includes planning and implementing repairs, maintenance, and replacements of MEPFS equipment, ensuring government standards compliance, and serving as Pollution Control Officer for the mall.

Position description:

Responsible in the supervision of the mall’s equipment operations in order to provide the necessary utilities for the operation of the mall. Involves planning and implementation of repairs, maintenance, and replacements of MEPFS equipment and the related systems for the safe and efficient operations of the mall. Ensures compliance of the Mall (establishment) in the standards set forth by the government agencies and local government units. The function will also act as the assigned Pollution Control Officer of the mall.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee mall engineering operations by managing MEPFS systems, maintenance, and utilities to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant facility operations.
• Review and evaluate tenant MEPFS plans to ensure adherence to mall design standards and support inspections for construction, renovation, and expansion works.
• Act as Pollution Control Officer ensuring full compliance with environmental laws, permits, and pollution control standards for air, water, and waste management.
• Implement preventive maintenance and safety measures for facilities and equipment while coordinating with contractors and government agencies.
• Promote continuous learning and team development through training participation, technical mentorship, and performance improvement initiatives.
