Our Clients is seeking a Research & Development Manager (Food Operations) in Mandaluyong City. This role involves overseeing the technical execution and commercialization of food products across operations, ensuring quality and efficiency while transitioning new recipes and processes to large-scale production.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and extensive experience in food R&D, with strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills. The position operates on-site Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in food R&D, product development, technical services, or food manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in restaurant chains, commissary, or QSR operations preferred.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Research & Development Manager (Food Operations) to oversee the technical execution and commercialization of food products across commissary and restaurant operations. This role ensures that new products, recipes, and operational processes are successfully transitioned from development into large-scale production while maintaining quality, efficiency, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical implementation of food innovations and process improvements.
• Oversee product commercialization from concept through full operational rollout.
• Standardize recipes and production processes.
• Manage technical documentation, SOPs, BOMs, and product specifications.
• Coordinate pilot testing and operational validation.
• Partner with Operations, QA, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, and Training.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead technical troubleshooting and process optimization.
• Mentor technical and project support teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Engineering, Culinary Management, or related field.
