TERI-Gram invites applications for a funded project on Green Aviation Fuel Production from Renewable Biomass (Agro-Residue) using catalytic pyrolysis, with LCA and TEA studies. The Research Associate will work in pilot pyrolysis reactors and high-pressure systems for a 3-year initial assignment.
Qualifications include PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Energy Science, or MSc/MTech/ME with up to 3 years of related experience in catalytic biofuel conversion.
The candidate will work on a Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India) funded Project on Green Aviation Fuel Production from Renewable Biomass (Agro-Residue) based Pyrolytic Bio Oil with LCA and TEA Studies which will involve catalytic pyrolysis, pyrolysis product fractionation and conversion to JET Fuel range products.
The RA (II/III) will be required to work in pilot pyrolysis reactor and other high-pressure reactors. Initial Position for 3 years.
1 - 3 Years
PhD in Chemical Engg/ Chemistry/Energy Science and Engg/ Petrochemical Engg or Masters (MSc/MTech/ME) in Chemical Engg/Energy Science and Technology with up to 3 years of experience in catalytic biofuel conversion (thermochemical route only).
Any previous research experience related to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production through Alcohol to JET (ATJ) or HEFA Process or Pyrolysis oil upgradation and fractionation will be given preference.
Strong Analytical skills for Analysis of jet fuel products using GCMS/Calorimeter/ TGA/ GC/ NMR/ FTIR/ Brookfield Viscometer/ Freezing Point Analyzer are desirable.
Fresh PhD or Master-s with 2-3 years of experience in Chemical Engg. / Chemistry/Energy Engg. preferred.
