Qualifications

Hiring: R&D Engineer – Food Manufacturing

Our Client - an international food manufacturing company to recruit an R&D Engineer focused on bringing new products and processes into factory production.

This opportunity would suit someone with hands-on food manufacturing experience who enjoys technical problem-solving, production trials and process improvement.

What you’ll do:

• Support the scale-up of new products and processes from development to commercial production.
• Plan and execute production trials, commissioning activities and technical risk assessments.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges using data and statistical analysis.
• Assess process feasibility and help adapt production equipment for new product requirements.
• Deliver improvements in manufacturing efficiency, product quality and production costs.
• Work closely with R&D, Engineering, Production, Quality and Procurement teams.

What we’re looking for:

• Around 2–3 years of experience in food manufacturing, within Engineering, Product Development or Process Development.
• A bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
• Practical experience with production processes, factory trials and technical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with improvement and problem-solving tools such as Six Sigma, PDCA or FMEA.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and across teams.
