Job summary

Real Property Matters is seeking an experienced Web Developer to build the public-facing pages of our new company website. We have a clear vision for the site, including structure, content and design direction, and need a capable developer to turn these concepts into a professional, responsive and high-performing website.

This is initially a contract project with the potential for ongoing development work for the right person.

Qualifications

• Excellent HTML and CSS skills
• Experience converting supplied designs into accurate webpages
• Strong understanding of responsive website development
• Good attention to visual details, spacing and consistency
• Understanding of website speed, accessibility and basic SEO requirements
• Ability to communicate clearly and provide regular progress updates
• Reliable approach to deadlines and deliverables
• Identify potential issues and recommend practical solutions
• Examples of professional websites you have personally developed
• Experience developing websites for Australian businesses, property companies, professional services firms or financial-services organisations would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Building the website’s public-facing pages from supplied designs and content
• Accurately reproducing layouts, colours, typography and spacing
• Creating clean, responsive pages that work on desktop, tablet and mobile
• Writing organised and maintainable HTML and CSS
• Optimising pages for speed, usability and search engines
• Making revisions based on feedback during development
• Working with our existing IT support on integrations and internal website functionality
• Ensuring the completed website can be maintained and expanded in the future
• The existing IT team will manage some internal functionality and connections to our business systems
