Job summary

JOBSTODAY.WORLD is seeking a remote Video Editor to convert scripts, raw footage, and AI assets into compelling short-form videos for social platforms. You’ll focus on retention, hooks, captions, and basic motion graphics, while using AI tools in a live production workflow.

You should bring 2+ years of experience in editing, fluency with major editing suites, and a proven ability to explain why a video works. A personal channel and strong English/Filipino text skills are a must.

Qualifications

• 2+ years editing short-form social video with published, verifiable work.
• Explain retention; not just how you cut it.
• Fluent in CapCut, Final Cut, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Comfortable with burned-in captions, sound design, and trending audio.
• Good written English for on-screen text and captions.
• Fluent in Filipino for on-screen text and captions.
• Own 4K-capable machine and reliable internet.
• Experience with AI video and voice tools in a production pipeline.
• Motion graphics and data visualisation (After Effects or equivalent).
• Thumbnail design.
• A channel or account you’ve grown.

Responsibilities

• Edit vertical short-form for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
• Write and cut hooks—the first three seconds matter.
• Burn in captions, add pattern interrupts, pace for retention.
• Build simple motion graphics and data visualisations.
• Work with AI generation tools in the pipeline.
• Design thumbnails for longer YouTube pieces.
• Review performance data after publishing and suggest changes.
