Job summary

Expedock is seeking experienced video editors to review, edit, and improve short-form and commercial video content on an hourly, contract basis. You will assess opening hooks, pacing, and transitions, then apply hands-on edits in DaVinci Resolve while clearly documenting your editorial reasoning for AI evaluation.

Applicants should have a strong reel, fluency in English, and a track record in social media or brand video editing.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in video editing, especially short-form content for social media, ads, or brand work.
• Ability to explain edits and decisions clearly in writing and speech.
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.
• A reel or portfolio demonstrating relevant editing work.
• Willingness to work on a part-time, hourly basis with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Review short-form and commercial videos and assess editing quality.
• Edit and refine videos based on editorial assessments.
• Evaluate whether the opening hook captures attention and sustains pace.
• Assess pacing, cut density, rhythm, and overall flow.
• Identify issues such as unnecessary cuts, dead air, or weak transitions and sequencing.
• Explain feedback with references to specific moments in the video.
• Record review/edit sessions as required for the project.
