Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Expedock is seeking a remote video editor to join an ongoing project. You’ll watch footage, assess edits, and refine pacing to ensure clear storytelling. You’ll justify each decision in writing to help train an AI system.
Ideal candidates have professional editing experience with long-form material, strong DaVinci Resolve skills, and a portfolio of pieces over five minutes. Fluent English is essential for written explanations and communication.
Type: Contract, hourly
Location: Remote (Philippines)
Schedule: Flexible
You’ll watch videos, edit and judge how well they’re put together - whether the story holds up, whether the cuts work, whether the pacing carries. You’ll write out your reasoning in detail. That written judgment is used to train an AI system, so we need real editorial thinking, not a rating out of ten.

Fluent English, spoken and written
Able to explain your editorial reasoning in writing, not just do the cut
A reel or portfolio including pieces over five minutes

Experience with video editing beyond basic cuts
Hourly rate, paid based on hours worked
Ongoing work with room to grow - this is expected to be a long-running project
