Job summary

Belltower Fund Group is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Operations Support to join our growing tax team. This role is ideal for someone early in their tax career who is interested in building a foundation in U.S.

tax operations and compliance within a fund administration environment. You will support day-to-day tax operations across a portfolio of investment funds, assist with tax filings and information reporting, and help maintain accurate tax data and documentation.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in accounting, tax, fund administration, or a related role (internships welcome)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Basic understanding of federal and state tax concepts
• Interest in partnership taxation and investment fund structures
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with guidance and support
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfort working and learning new systems and tools
• CPA eligibility or progress toward certification (a plus, not required)

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day tax operations under the guidance of senior team members
• Assist with the preparation, filing, and organization of U.S. federal and state tax returns, including extensions
• Support information reporting processes, including Form 1099 preparation and filing
• Help track, organize, and support responses to federal and state tax notices
• Perform tax-related operational tasks tied to fund accounting, such as recording and reconciling transactions from a tax perspective
• Maintain and update client and fund tax data across systems, including assisting with historical data cleanup
• Help prepare and organize tax documentation and workpapers
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather information needed for tax compliance and reportingLearn to read and apply IRS forms, instructions, and guidance in support of tax operations
• Contribute to process improvements and documentation as the tax team scales
