BairesDev is hiring a Software Engineer (Streaming) to design and build real-time data streaming pipelines powering event-driven architectures. Lead data source connections to analytics with high throughput, low latency, and reliability across the data ecosystem.

Role requires 4+ years in software or data engineering and strong experience with Kafka/Confluent, Flink/Spark/Kinesis, and programming in Java/Scala/Python. This is 100% remote with competitive USD compensation and global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software/data engineering experience.
• Experience building real-time streaming pipelines with Kafka/Confluent.
• Hands-on with Flink, Spark Streaming or Kinesis.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala or Python for data processing.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage production-grade streaming apps using Kafka/Confluent.
• Develop real-time data processing workflows with Flink, Spark Streaming, or Kinesis.
• Implement and maintain schema registries for data consistency.
• Optimize streaming jobs for performance, throughput, and exactly-once semantics.
• Build and maintain scalable data integrations using Java, Scala or Python.
• Collaborate with data and infrastructure teams to ensure reliability and security of streaming platforms.
