Job summary

Nordic is seeking a Storage Engineer I to support Enterprise Storage environments. This role involves coordinating with IT teams and vendors, analyzing complex storage issues, and implementing corrective solutions.

You will document changes, monitor performance, and contribute to data protection strategies across the organization. The position requires a college degree or equivalent experience, strong knowledge of Rubrik, and familiarity with SAN/NAS technologies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Enterprise Storage Engineering experience.
• Strong Rubrik backup/recovery knowledge.
• Experience with deduplication and compression tech.
• Familiar with VMware VADP/VCB backup APIs.
• Experience with PowerMax and PowerScale storage.
• Knowledge of Cisco MDX SAN fabric technologies.
• Experience with NetApp ONTAP AFF storage systems.
• Understanding of virtualized data center architecture.
• Unix/Linux operating systems familiarity.
• Experience with SAN/NAS monitoring and health reporting.
• Knowledge of server backup/recovery methodologies.
• Experience in enterprise-class infrastructure environments.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to document technical procedures clearly.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Healthcare data privacy knowledge is a plus.
• Willingness for on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and mentoring on technologies to peers.
• Engage with vendors for tier 2/3 troubleshooting and remediation.
• Evaluate, test, and analyze impact of software/firmware updates.
• Monitor and tune systems for optimum performance in multi-tier environments.
• Conduct system analysis and develop improvements for performance and reliability.
• Diagnose storage/backup issues and develop procedures.
• Manage operations for SAN/NAS platforms and related configurations.
