Job summary

RemoteFetch seeks an experienced SQL Database Administrator for a permanent remote role supporting a global MSP. You will maintain SQL Server databases across client environments, optimize performance, and ensure security and uptime.

The position is project-based with a night shift (EST) and part-time (2–3 days/week). Requires 10+ years' experience, MS SQL certifications, and strong English. We offer ongoing training and a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional SQL database experience.
• Strong SQL, MySQL, and MongoDB expertise.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience with hybrid on-premises and Azure SQL environments.
• English proficiency and ability to work in a distributed team.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across environments.
• Monitor performance, optimize queries, and ensure high availability.
• Design secure configurations and manage roles/permissions.
• Develop automation via PowerShell and SQL scripts.
• Support backup/recovery and HA/DR strategies.
• Collaborate with cloud architects and service teams to ensure reliability.
