Job summary

Scale-X Solutions is seeking a proactive Solar Engineer to design, develop, and oversee PV and battery systems for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects. This is a remote, morning-shift position with flexibility to collaborate across time zones.

You will design PV arrays, select equipment, and oversee projects from concept to commissioning. Strong CAD/Python skills and knowledge of local electrical codes are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD OR Python, solar modeling software, and knowledge of local electrical codes.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Must be flexible and able to work to tight deadlines.
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Create Solar PV array layout.
• AC, DC and communications cable path layouts.
• Single-line diagrams, schematics and blueprints using CAD software.
• Battery systems: appropriate load to back-up.
• Guide installation teams.
• Investigate system performance (Quality Assurance).
• Ensure installation is compliant with standards.
• Follow up on quotes and discuss scope of service with potential customers.
