Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Website Builder to work remotely on a permanent, full-time basis. You will collaborate with product owners to translate business requirements into scalable PHP and WordPress-based solutions.

Responsibilities include building WordPress plugins/themes, maintaining PHP applications, and integrating with third-party services, while following best practices and CI/CD processes. Night shift not required, but strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience building WordPress CMS websites using standard plugins.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress PHP coding.
• Ability to create inbuilt WordPress functions
• Creation of custom post types and plugins/widgets aligned with WordPress coding standards
• Theme/Template integration and responsive design
• Knowledge of WordPress multisite beneficial
• Proficient in PHP, MySQL and OOP
• Experience optimizing sites for mobile and SEO basics
• Familiar with analytics and webmaster tools

Responsibilities

• Gather and translate business requirements into PHP/WordPress solutions.
• Design and develop prototypes, identify dependencies, and prepare technical design docs.
• Develop and maintain PHP/WordPress apps including custom themes/plugins and integrations.
• Configure and customize WordPress environments to meet requirements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot WordPress/PHP issues.
• Collaborate with distributed Agile teams, participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and mentor juniors.
• Ensure security, performance, and scalability; stay updated with PHP/WordPress developments.
• Maintain Git version control and participate in CI/CD processes.
