Job summary

TeamUp is seeking a detail-oriented tax professional for a full-time independent contractor role. The candidate will support strategic tax planning, leverage technology, and help shape client experience while working remotely from the Philippines.

Responsibilities include preparing US tax returns, building planning workbooks in Excel, coordinating with the Tax Planning Manager, and using Karbon, Lacerte, and QBO to enhance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years US tax preparation experience.
• Strong knowledge of US tax compliance and basic accounting concepts.
• Proficient with Karbon; Lacerte and QBO experience preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare US individual and business tax returns accurately.
• Prepare workpapers and organize supporting documents for planning/prep.
• Identify tax issues and planning opportunities during preparation and escalate as needed.
• Support Tax Planning Manager with planning activities, projections, and tax strategy implementation.
• Set up and maintain customized tax planning workbooks and tools in Excel.
• Coordinate client administration, including document requests and engagement records.
• Use Karbon to manage tasks, deadlines, and client information.
• Contribute to improving internal processes and tooling.
