CrowdStrike is seeking a Sr Applied Researcher to join our team building next-generation AI that stops breaches. You will lead technical direction, shape the vision, and drive production systems at scale, working with scientists and engineers across the organization.

You will influence GenAI architectures, training, deployment, and techniques, contributing to strategic direction and innovative cybersecurity AI.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (PhD or Masters) in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of applied ML/research experience with production-grade models.
• Deep expertise in LLMs and deep learning at scale.
• Bias-for-action and high-judgement decisions, comfortable with ambiguity.
• Strong technical leadership, mentoring teams, and strategy.
• Advanced knowledge of Python, DL frameworks, and cloud tech.
• Expert level understanding of GPU tech and optimization.
• Outstanding communication to influence senior stakeholders.
• Track record of solving complex challenges at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead and architect AI research strategy for applying AI to cybersecurity.
• Drive innovation in AI applications including reasoning, summarisation, interactivity.
• Decide on GenAI model architectures, training approaches, deployment strategies.
• Implement cutting-edge ML/AI research in cybersecurity context.
• Build production-ready AI systems at CrowdStrike's scale.
• Mentor scientists and foster engineering excellence.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with senior leadership.
• Represent CrowdStrike's technical excellence through publications and talks.
