Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer (Embedded Systems / Reverse Engineering) to join our WFH, dayshift team. You will reverse engineer binaries and analyze assembly for motorcycle model integrations, create bin definitions in C#/.NET, and help identify ECU maps.

You will work with IDA Pro, Ghidra, and other tools to ensure robust software definitions. Strong attention to detail and written English are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience reverse engineering assembly code and binary files for microcontrollers (Renesas RH850, M32R, SH70xx, M16C, or similar).
• Strong background in .NET and C# development.
• Proven experience using Visual Studio and Windows Forms.
• Experience with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro or Ghidra.
• Knowledge of pattern matching, binary analysis, and advanced binary searching techniques.
• Understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and analyze binary files and assembly to support new motorcycle model integrations.
• Create and maintain bin file definitions for motorcycle models using .NET and C#.
• Identify ECU maps such as fuel and ignition and other performance parameters.
• Reverse engineer binaries to enable additional software capabilities.
• Perform advanced binary pattern matching and code analysis with standard tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to deliver high-quality software definitions.
• Document findings and methodologies for product improvements.
• Contribute to expanding supported motorcycle models on the Woolich Racing platform.
