Job summary

Utopia is seeking a skilled Estimator to join its project team in real estate development and construction, focusing on boutique hospitality assets. You will prepare cost estimates, budgets, and reports, coordinating with design, procurement, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.

The role emphasizes detailed estimation (AACE Class 3/2) with early stages (Class 4/5) involvement, remote work up to 40 hours per week, and collaboration with international teams across Europe,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in estimation, quantity surveying, civil engineering, architecture or related field.
• Minimum 6+ years as estimator in construction projects, 3+ years in high-end hospitality/residential.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, Revit, AutoCAD and cost-control software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and reports for construction projects.
• Develop bills of quantities for construction activities.
• Review and challenge contractor/subcontractor/supplier proposals.
• Prepare schedules and monitor cost/time alignment with design phases.
• Submit progress reports and variations to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project team, architects, engineers, and procurement.
• Resolve cost or contract-related disputes across projects.
