Job summary

Outstaffer.AI is seeking an experienced Construction Cost Estimator to join our client’s estimating team. The role focuses on residential construction in the Australian market, with minimal supervision and strong emphasis on accuracy and consistency.

The ideal candidate will interpret drawings, calculate quantities, and prepare detailed cost estimates using established procedures. This full-time role offers 100% remote work from the Philippines and a structured estimating environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably residential.
• Strong understanding of estimating principles, methodologies and cost analysis.
• Experience in Australian residential construction is highly desirable.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, plans and specifications.
• Detail-oriented with accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects.
• Review drawings, plans, specifications and documentation to determine scope.
• Perform quantity take-offs and calculate material, labour and subcontractor costs.
• Analyse project plans for cost impacts, discrepancies and variations.
• Obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing to ensure estimates are competitive.
• Apply current construction costs and pricing information when preparing estimates.
• Ensure estimates follow established estimating procedures and guidelines.
• Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Review and update estimates with changes in scope, drawings or pricing.
• Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy, efficiency and cost control.
• Work independently with high accuracy and productivity.
