Job summary

BruntWork seeks a CA/CPA-qualified Senior Accountant to own financial operations for compliance with Australian accounting standards. You will manage cash flow reporting, reconciliations, GL entries, and EOFY processes for stakeholders across the group.

The role requires 3+ years in accounting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently from a remote location. Permanent work from home is offered with immediate hiring and health insurance coverage where eligible.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience within an accounting team
• Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent qualification
• CA/CPA qualified or progressing toward qualification
• Solid understanding of Australian accounting standards, tax regulations, and EOFY compliance requirements
• Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Must have a Windows-based PC that meets the required specifications to perform the role's daily tasks and responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Daily EFT processing and cash receipting | Management of supplier payment runs
• Preparation of daily cash flow reports and assistance with budgets and cash flow forecasts
• Bank and credit card reconciliations, including investigation and resolution of variances
• Creation, posting, and review of general ledger entries and transactions
• Month-end and EOFY reconciliations, including general journals, intercompany journals, accruals, prepayments, and associated schedules
• Maintenance of the group's fixed asset registers
• Timely and accurate reconciliation of all balance sheet items
• Compliance reporting for key internal and external stakeholders
• Liaising with internal teams and external parties as required
