Job summary

Rumzer.com is seeking a Product Stewardship Engineer to help assess environmental impact and regulatory compliance across product lifecycles. The role emphasizes collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to design safer, cleaner products while staying abreast of evolving regulations.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate degree in mechanical, electrical or other relevant engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in product design, preferably electrical equipment or medical devices.
• Exposure to LCA software tools is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze materials to assess conformance to global regs (REACH, RoHS, PFAS, TSCA).
• Monitor and interpret environmental regulations and best practices.
• Provide guidance on product safety and environmental compliance to teams and customers.
• Prepare SDS, declarations of conformity, and environmental declarations (EPDs).
• Collaborate with suppliers, regulators, and industry associations.
• Stay informed on trends in life cycle analysis methodologies.
• Work with cross-functional teams to design to minimize environmental impact.
