Speechify is hiring a backend-focused engineer to design, build, and maintain robust APIs for the public TTS API and internal services. You’ll work on payments, subscriptions, analytics and more as part of the Platform team in a fast-paced, async culture.

The ideal candidate will have TS/Node experience, cloud familiarity (GCP/AWS/Azure), and a passion for delivering great user experiences at scale.

Qualifications

• Backend development with TS/Node experience.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS/Azure).
• Ability to ideate and implement with urgency and impact.
• Nice-to-have: Docker, Kubernetes deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, and internal services.
• Oversee backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on enterprise B2B solutions and integrations.
• Align backend architecture with product strategy and UX.
