Job summary

CoDev Philippines is seeking a hands-on PHP Technical Lead to guide the development of a custom ERP supporting daily operations for ~120 employees. You will align technical decisions with the architect, coordinate delivery, and maintain code quality while implementing and reviewing changes.

The role begins with learning the system through bug fixes and small features, then expands into leading project work, delivering dependable changes while protecting business workflows and architecture.

Qualifications

• Strong production PHP experience and hands-on delivery in OO and procedural systems.
• Experience leading a small development team or project and mentoring others.
• Familiarity with ERP-like business systems such as accounting, payroll, CRM, or inventory.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning and implementation for ERP enhancements; break work into tasks and surface risks.
• Stay hands-on with debugging and development; align design changes with the architect.
• Define testing and regression checks; review evidence and release plans with the team.
• Review pull requests for correctness and maintainability; coach on coding standards.
• Clarify requirements with business users; estimate effort and set priorities.
• Improve documentation, test coverage, and maintainable interfaces for onboarding.
• Set expectations for AI-assisted work and ensure data handling compliance.
