Job summary

Career Team is a US-based organization with a Philippines-based payroll team supporting 15+ US states. This Senior role leads payroll operations from the Philippines and reports to the VP of HR.

You will own US multi-state payroll and tax compliance, build a high-performance PH payroll team, and partner with US Finance and HR leadership. 100% remote with night shift from PH to align with US hours.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of US multi-state payroll experience with 3+ years in leadership.
• Experience building or scaling a Philippines-based payroll team.
• Deep US multi-state tax compliance (SUTA/FUTA, FICA, W-2/W-3, state nexus).
• Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, Power Query.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Willingness to work 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM PHST.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Philippines-based payroll team, hiring and coaching.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll for 15+ US states; escalate tax issues.
• Ensure multi-state tax compliance and payroll accuracy.
• Own Payroll Systems (ADP Workforce Now) and optimize.
• Manage tax registrations and filings across states.
• Respond to tax notices and year-end reconciliations.
• Provide executive payroll reporting to the C-suite.
• Drive automation and scalable processes.
