Job summary

Coronis Health in the Philippines seeks an experienced Outpatient Medical Coder for a full-time remote role. You will assign outpatient CPT, HCPCS and ICD codes, review clinical documentation, and ensure compliant billing aligned with payer guidelines.

The ideal candidate has RHIT or related HIM credentials, outpatient coding experience, strong terminology skills, and familiarity with EHR systems and coding software.

Qualifications

• Strong medical coding proficiency, outpatient settings.
• RHIT or Health Information Management knowledge or related education.
• Experience with CPT, HCPCS and ICD coding and payer guidelines.
• Remote, metrics-driven environment experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and assign outpatient CPT/HCPCS/ICD codes.
• Ensure compliance with payer and regulatory guidelines for billing.
• Validate medical necessity and resolve coding-related edits and denials.
• Collaborate with providers and internal teams to clarify documentation as needed.
• Maintain productivity and quality; stay current with coding updates and payer policies.
• Support process improvements in revenue cycle operations.
