Job summary

BruntWork is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer - Mining (AU Standards) to support Australian-based projects, specializing in mining industry. You’ll design and draft mechanical equipment and plant in compliance with AS/NZS, ensuring safety, efficiency, and scalability for heavy industrial applications.

Under direction of Australia-based engineers, you’ll create 3D models, general arrangements, and perform hydraulic calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of design experience with exposure to AS/NZS standards.
• Experience in mining and industrial design projects.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation).
• Ability to work autonomously under Australian engineer direction.

Responsibilities

• 3D modelling of equipment and plant for mining and industrial projects.
• Drafting detailed drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation.
• Perform hydraulic and pipe stress calculations per Australian standards.
• Collaborate with Australian engineers to translate design requirements into models.
• Prepare Navisworks models for engineering reviews.
