Job summary

Vector Outsourcing Solutions Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coder to apply ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation, ensuring accurate coding and compliant submissions.

The role offers work-from-home flexibility within the Philippines, with a consultancy contract of at least six months; candidates should have 1–3 years of medical coding experience and an active CPC license.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience in Medical Coding
• Active coding license (e.g., CPC)
• Graduate of Medical allied courses (Nurses, Physical Therapist, Medical Technologist) preferred but not required
• Willing to work from home with reliable internet

Responsibilities

• Apply ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on documentation and services rendered
• Ensure proper code sequencing and modifiers per payer and regulatory guidelines
• Review and correct coding-related errors, denials, or rejected claims
• Complete documentation or system entry regarding claims
• Abstract additional data elements during Chart Review when coding
• Identify incomplete or missing documentation and coordinate provider queries
• Stay updated with coding rules, payer policies, and healthcare regulations
• Support clean claim submission and billing accuracy
• Coordinate with Billing, AR, and Authorization teams
• Maintain productivity and accuracy standards
• Train, coach, and provide guidance to billers on coding requirements
• Remain current on coding guidelines and auditing protocols
