Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking experienced Inpatient Medical Coders to join our healthcare BPO team in the Philippines. You will review inpatient records and assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG codes with accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

The role requires strong clinical understanding, attention to detail, and the ability to meet productivity and quality targets, while collaborating with clinical staff and QA teams on coding queries and audits.

Qualifications

• Active PHRN license and a valid Coding License.
• At least 1 year of inpatient medical coding experience in a healthcare BPO.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRG, and inpatient coding guidelines.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and encoder software.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and MS-DRG codes.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with official guidelines and client requirements.
• Meet productivity and quality targets.
• Identify documentation gaps and elevate coding queries as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company policies.
• Participate in quality audits, training, and process improvement initiatives.
