Job summary

My Online Staff is seeking an experienced Mechanical Drafter (Piping) to support our Australian engineering team from a remote environment. You will prepare detailed piping and mechanical drawings, GA layouts, isometrics, and fabrication drawings in line with project specs and Australian standards.

This role requires strong AutoCAD skills, familiarity with Plant 3D or Revit MEP, and the ability to collaborate with engineers and project managers while delivering construction-ready documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and plant-design software.
• Experience producing piping layouts, GA drawings and isometrics.
• Ability to read P&IDs, drawings, and specs.
• Attention to detail with high drafting accuracy.
• Strong English communication; remote-work capable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical and piping drawings from sketches, mark-ups, specs, and requirements.
• Produce GA drawings, piping layouts, isometrics, fabrication and equipment layouts.
• Create and update piping support details, spool and installation drawings.
• Maintain drawing revisions and ensure compliance with Australian standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
