Job summary

Cognizant Softvision, LLC seeks a Medical Abstractor at SME level to work from home in the Philippines. The role ensures scientific, clinical, and regulatory accuracy of medical content across pharmacovigilance activities.

You will review ICSRs and safety data in Argus/Veeva, provide clinical assessments, and collaborate with global teams to uphold patient safety and regulatory compliance in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• MD required with pharmacovigilance experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance Medical Review and ICSR evaluation.
• Hands-on experience with Argus Safety and/or Veeva Safety.
• Strong knowledge of drug safety, adverse event reporting, and global pharmacovigilance regulations.
• Excellent English communication and medical writing skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fully remote work environment.

Responsibilities

• Review ICSRs and adverse event data in Argus Safety and Veeva Safety.
• Provide clinical expertise to support pharmacovigilance activities and risk management.
• Assess medical narratives and identify potential safety signals for accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with global Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Quality teams.
• Serve as SME for complex cases and support process and quality improvements.
