Job summary

Cognizant Softvision, LLC seeks a Medical Abstractor at SME level to work from home in the Philippines. The role ensures scientific, clinical, and regulatory accuracy of medical content across pharmacovigilance activities.

You will review ICSRs and safety data in Argus/Veeva, provide clinical assessments, and collaborate with global teams to uphold patient safety and regulatory compliance in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• MD required with pharmacovigilance experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance Medical Review and ICSR evaluation.
• Hands-on experience with Argus Safety and/or Veeva Safety.
• Strong knowledge of drug safety, adverse event reporting, and global pharmacovigilance regulations.
• Excellent English communication and medical writing skills.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fully remote work environment.

About the role

Medical Abstractor at SME level working from home. The role involves ensuring the scientific, clinical, and regulatory accuracy of medical and safety-related content across pharmacovigilance and healthcare activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct medical review and validation of Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs), adverse event reports, and safety data within Argus and Veeva Safety platforms.
• Provide clinical expertise and scientific assessment to support pharmacovigilance activities, safety evaluations, and risk management initiatives.
• Review medical narratives, interpret clinical data, and identify potential safety signals to ensure accurate and compliant safety reporting.
• Partner with global Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Quality teams to maintain the highest standards of patient safety and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for complex cases and contribute to continuous process improvement and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD)

Minimum 2 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance Medical Review and ICSR evaluation
