Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber/IT Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of IT security and system administration experience or equivalent.
• Experience with security software systems and related products.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and conditional access policies.
• Familiarity with SIEM, IDS, endpoint security, and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security tools (CrowdStrike, Zscaler, Defender, Tanium, Tenable, Office 365, Entra ID) to maintain situational awareness.
• Investigate security alerts from the external SOC and determine false positives, events, or incidents; report actions and recommendations.
• Coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities across endpoints, web apps, cloud environments, and networks.
• Escalate security incidents to IT Security Leadership as needed.
• Investigate reported suspicious emails and categorize them for tracking and reporting; respond to reporters with determinations and recommendations.
• Deliver periodic IT Security Training using the company training app (Security Awareness, Privacy, etc.).
• Maintain up-to-date patches and security levels for software and hardware.
• Stay current with cyber security threats, papers, and attacker TTPs.
• Assist colleagues with onboarding, investigations, reports, and other tasks as needed.
• Adhere to security policies and best practices; collaborate with teams to implement enhanced security measures.
