Job summary

Coronis Health Philippines is seeking an experienced Inpatient Medical Coder to join our remote team. You will review inpatient records and clinical documentation, assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes, and ensure coding accuracy for optimal reimbursement.

Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve inquiries, maintain productivity and quality standards, and apply ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG knowledge. CCS/RHIT/CPC or equivalent certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in inpatient medical coding.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG assignment.
• CCS/RHIT/CPC or equivalent certification preferred.
• Understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation.
• Experience with EHR and coding platforms is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze inpatient medical records and clinical documentation.
• Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with coding guidelines and payer requirements.
• Ensure coding accuracy, compliance, and optimal reimbursement.
• Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve coding-related inquiries.
• Support denial prevention and resolution through coding review and validation.
• Meet established productivity and quality standards.
