Job summary

MicroSourcing, a leading offshore MSP in the Philippines, seeks an Information Security Technician to work remotely with shifting schedules. The role focuses on monitoring, threat hunting, and incident response to protect multi-client environments.

You will investigate phishing, escalate threats, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve security incidents. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in IT security operations, strong Office 365/Azure skills, and hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, and MDR

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT security operations.
• Strong hands-on with Office 365 and Azure.
• Experience with Barracuda and Proofpoint email filters.
• Strong SIEM, EDR and MDR tools experience.
• Knowledge of incident response frameworks and digital forensics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate email phishing alerts and SIEM/EDR alerts, escalating threats.
• Lead security incident investigations with evidence collection and root cause analysis.
• Develop and execute incident response playbooks to minimize disruption.
• Proactive threat hunting to identify risks and mitigate threats.
• Communicate security findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
