Job summary

Turnitin is seeking a New Associate in the Tax Department to drive global indirect tax compliance and streamline tax processes with technology. You will work with Accounting, AR/AP, Collections, and Legal to support expansion into new countries and optimize tax structures.

The role focuses on maintaining compliance, researching tax changes, and partnering with teams to mitigate risk while leveraging technology to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Finance degree required; 1–3 years indirect tax experience preferred.
• Strong accounting fundamentals needed.
• Financial analysis skills and familiarity with basic AI tools are desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and filing of indirect tax returns (VAT, Sales tax) accurately and deadlines.
• Collate financial data, documents, and records for tax calculations and filings.
• Support research and implementation of tax technology solutions.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve tax processes in the O2C cycle.
• Support research and analysis to identify tax opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Lead discussions with tax authorities during audits and assessments.
• Keep track of changes to tax rules and ensure compliance.
