Job summary

Turnitin is seeking a New Associate in the Tax Department to manage global indirect tax compliance, streamline tax processes, and partner with Accounting, AR, AP, Collections, and Legal.

You will assist in preparing and filing indirect tax returns (VAT, sales tax), collate data, and help implement tax technology solutions.

A Finance degree and 1–3 years of indirect tax experience are required; strong accounting, analytical, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Finance degree and 1–3 years of indirect tax experience at an accounting firm.
• Strong accounting fundamentals.
• Financial analysis skills and familiarity with basic AI tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in indirect tax return preparation and filing (VAT, Sales tax) accurately and on time.
• Collate financial data and documents for tax calculations.
• Support tax technology initiatives and tools.
• Collaborate with O2C teams to improve tax processes.
• Assist with tax research to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Participate in tax audits and discussions with authorities.
• Monitor changes in tax rules and communicate impact.
