Job summary

Egis is seeking a hydraulic physical modelling expert to lead planning, design, execution, and interpretation of complex hydraulic and sediment transport studies. The freelance position is based with our Philippines Engineering Centre and can be supported remotely from international locations, with two short-term site visits to Sri-Lanka.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Hydraulic, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering.
10+ years of experience in hydraulic physical modelling.
Experience with mobile bed models and hydraulic lab testing.
Strong understanding of hydrology and sediment transport.

Responsibilities

Lead development and operation of hydraulic physical models for river, coastal, estuarine projects.
Design fixed-bed and mobile-bed models to assess performance and sediment transport.
Collaborate with geomorphologists to assess river processes and channel stability.
Work with hydrologists to develop flow scenarios and boundary conditions.
Lead client presentations and workshops.
