Qualifications

• Chart auditing/optimization experience required.
• EHR/EMR experience required.
• Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt, modify and prioritize while meeting strict deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of Medical Coding experience in hospital/physician settings preferred.
• Stable employment history required.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records for inconsistent documentation and remediation.
• Outreach/education for coders on Emergency Medicine & Hospital Medicine coding and documentation requirements.
• Assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on documentation.
• Validate the accuracy of codes and ensure adherence to guidelines.
