Job summary

Tidal is hiring a Finance & Accounting Manager for a growing eCommerce business to manage month-end close, financial reporting, inventory and COGS, cash flow, reconciliations, and sales tax coordination.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced with QuickBooks Online, inventory-based businesses, and US accounting processes, with strong Excel/Sheets skills and English communication in a fast-paced remote environment.

Qualifications

4–6+ years of accounting/finance experience.
Knowledge of accrual accounting and US GAAP.
Experience with QuickBooks Online and inventory accounting.
Experience with US sales tax processes and filings.
Financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
Strong written and verbal English communication.
Experience in inventory-based ecommerce or consumer products is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage AP/AR, vendor payments, reconciliation schedules and related tasks.
Own monthly close and prepare P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and management reports.
Reconcile financial and inventory data across systems (QuickBooks Online, banking, eCommerce, 3PL).
Track inventory valuation, landed costs, COGS, margins, shipping costs, refunds, and damages.
Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast and support budgeting and forecasting.
Monitor US sales tax obligations and coordinate filings with external providers.
