Tidal is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager for a growing ecommerce business. You will oversee month-end close, financial reporting, inventory and COGS, cash flow, reconciliations, and sales tax coordination.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, with QuickBooks Online experience and US accounting processes. The role is remote, independent contractor, full-time (~40 hours/week), and supports a fast-paced, globally distributed team.

Qualifications

4–6+ years of accounting/finance experience.
Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, US GAAP, financial statements, AP/AR and month-end close.
Hands-on with QuickBooks Online, inventory accounting, COGS, inventory valuation, landed costs.
Experience with US sales tax processes and coordinating filings with external providers.
Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and variance analysis.
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets with strong analysis and attention to detail.
Able to manage recurring financial processes in a fast-paced remote environment and communicate clearly in English.

Responsabilités

Manage AP/AR, vendor payments, outstanding balances, payment schedules and reconciliations.
Own or support the monthly close and prepare accurate P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and management reports.
Reconcile financial and inventory data across QuickBooks Online, banking, ecommerce, and 3PL systems.
Track inventory valuation, landed costs, COGS, gross margins, shipping costs, refunds and damages.
Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast and support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Track US sales tax obligations and deadlines and coordinate filings with CPA/tax provider.
