Job summary

Acclaro Inc. is expanding its network of freelance localization professionals to support large-scale IT/software projects globally.

We seek native Filipino linguists with strong English skills for EN→Filipino MTPE and AI translation review, in a fully remote freelance capacity. Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of translating IT/software content, a related degree, and CET time zone coverage for PHT afternoon/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Native fluency in Filipino and excellent written English.
• Minimum 5 years of professional freelance experience specializing in software localization, IT translation, MT evaluation, MT post-editing, or AI translation review.
• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Languages, Localization, or related field.
• CET time zone coverage required (PHT afternoon/evening shift).
• Strong understanding of software localization workflows and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• MT/LLM Evaluation: Review machine-translated and AI-generated content for accuracy, fluency, and usability, determining publication-readiness or need for post-editing.
• Linguistic Quality Assessment: Identify and classify translation errors per quality frameworks (mistranslations, omissions/additions, AI hallucinations, grammar, spelling, terminology, tone).
• Terminology & Localization Validation: Verify adherence to approved terminology and style guides; handle variables, UI strings, and formatting; ensure consistency across interfaces.
• Quality Improvement: Provide linguistic feedback to improve MT/AI translation quality; follow project guidelines; collaborate with localization managers and project teams.
