Job summary

Tarino, an Australian residential builder, seeks a dedicated estimator to own the estimating function end-to-end for duplex projects. Working remotely from the Philippines, you will interpret drawings, prepare cost estimates, BOMs and tender docs, and perform quantity take-offs while pricing to support fixed-price delivery.

You will collaborate with the founder and project team to ensure accurate, competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential/duplex estimating.
• Ability to prepare cost estimates and Bills of Quantities.
• Strong numerical accuracy across estimates.
• Familiarity with Australian standards/building codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documents for residential duplex projects.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Perform quantity take-offs across trades and materials.
• Source supplier and subcontractor pricing to build fixed-price quotes.
• Identify discrepancies and scope gaps in drawings and documentation.
• Maintain records of assumptions, inclusions and exclusions for each estimate.
• Manage multiple estimates and tenders with deadlines.
• Collaborate with the founder and project team to finalize pricing.
• Apply knowledge of Australian construction methods and codes to keep estimates realistic.
