Extenteam Client Roles is seeking a Debt Accountant to support a U.S.-based client on mortgage-related accounting. This fully remote role requires strong US GAAP knowledge, attention to high-volume processing, and precise month-end closes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years accounting experience with US GAAP and direct US client exposure.
• Experience in real estate or property management systems; multi-entity close.
• Strong recurring-entry and reconciliation skills.

Responsibilities

• Confirm mortgage payments monthly via lender portals (200+ payments).
• Prepare, compile, and submit qualified spend for replacement reserve reimbursements.
• Assist in setup, maintenance, and validation of debt instruments within Kyriba and ensure accuracy of terms and payments.
• Prepare monthly journal entries related to debt and amortization.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for mortgage notes payable and related accounts.
