Job summary

TELUS Digital invites a data scientist to join our remote team and safeguard data quality while driving AI improvements. You will design evaluation frameworks for model accuracy, help transform raw data into optimized training sets for LLMs, and detect trends in failures to steer future training iterations.

Remote engagement offers flexible scheduling and collaboration with a global community of AI experts, spanning 20+ domains and languages. Strong coding and analytics skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics.
• English proficiency: minimum B1 (Intermediate) to communicate data trends.
• Native-level fluency in at least one language.
• Basic proficiency in data manipulation (Python, SQL, or Excel).

Responsibilities

• Architect evaluation frameworks to measure model accuracy, helpfulness, and safety across large datasets.
• Perform data-wrangling to prepare training sets for LLMs.
• Detect and visualize trends in model failures and provide actionable insights.
• Develop automated scripts to monitor the quality of human-annotated data.
