Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a Data and Automation Consultant in the Philippines for a remote, day-shift role. You will develop data solutions and automate implementation services across customer projects, leveraging SQL and data modelling expertise to deliver robust, reusable solutions.

You will identify automation opportunities, contribute to DevOps/DataOps practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve onboarding and data processing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a commercial environment as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or related data professional.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and customers.
• Expert SQL, including complex scripts for data updates in relational databases.
• Strong data modelling and relational database expertise across OLTP/OLAP with SQL Server.
• Proficient in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Scala, R, JavaScript, TypeScript, or .NET) and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into detailed Scopes of Work, including time estimates and implementation steps.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and data models for performance and reliability.
• Develop reusable code and libraries and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with TechOps and Implementations teams to improve onboarding processes.
• Identify and communicate potential problems, risks, and issues early to achieve a favourable outcome.
• Adhere to planning, development, and testing processes in line with project cadence.
