Job summary

HeadQuarters is seeking a Cash Application Operations Associate to support the accurate and timely processing of customer payments and AR activities. You will apply payments, research discrepancies, assist with reconciliations, and maintain records in collaboration with Finance and Sales.

This fully remote role focuses on applying payments, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring precise documentation within ERP systems, while coordinating with other teams to keep AR balances accurate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, or a similar finance operations role.
• Strong understanding of cash application, payment reconciliation, unapplied cash, deductions, credits, and adjustments.
• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyze AR and payment data.

Responsibilities

• Apply incoming customer payments accurately and on time.
• Review payment details to match payments to customer accounts and invoices.
• Research payment discrepancies and assist with reconciliations.
• Maintain payment documentation including ACH remittances and check support.
• Update internal systems with accurate payment information and notes.
• Support basic Cash Application and unapplied cash reports.
