Job summary

Hyre is seeking a precise CAD Drafter to generate detailed 2D/3D drawings for roofing and sheet metal projects. You will interpret contracts, adapt plans from field data, and ensure constructability and weatherproofing per codes. A strong eye for detail and independent work style are essential.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years CAD experience, AutoCAD mastery, and familiarity with Bluebeam and MS Office. This fully remote role requires a quiet home office and US business hours alignment.

Qualifications

Education: A technical degree or certificate in drafting is required.
2-5 years of related drafting or CAD design experience.
Proven AutoCAD proficiency; working knowledge of Bluebeam and MS Office.

Responsibilities

Drafting & design: develop accurate 2D/3D drawings for roofing and sheet metal projects.
Plan interpretation: read drawings, incorporate field measurements, revise drawings as needed.
Constructability & compliance: ensure codes, weatherproofing, and durability in designs.
Pre-construction support: provide readable drawings to project stakeholders.
File management: organize and secure DWG, DWF, PDF files.
