Job summary

Hyre is seeking a precise CAD Drafter to produce detailed 2D/3D drawings for roofing and sheet metal projects. You will use AutoCAD to develop plans, verify constructability, and ensure code compliance and weatherproofing across fabrication and installation teams.

The role is full-time and remote, aligned with US business hours. Candidates should have 2–5 years of drafting experience, a technical drafting credential, and hands-on AutoCAD expertise, plus Bluebeam and MS Office proficiency and

Qualifications

2–5 years of drafting or CAD design experience.
Technical drafting credential or equivalent on-the-job training.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and document management.

Responsibilities

Drafting & design: Create accurate 2D/3D drawings for roofing and sheet metal projects using AutoCAD.
Plan interpretation & modification: Incorporate field measurements and client specifications.
Constructability & compliance: Ensure adherence to building codes and standards, with weatherproofing focus.
Pre-construction support: Provide clear drawings to Project Managers and Engineers.
File management: Organize DWG, DWF, and PDF files securely.
