Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of hands-on experience using Cabinet Vision software.
• Demonstrable portfolio showing cabinet design work and completed projects.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to identify issues before production.
• Understanding of cabinet construction and kitchen layouts in real-world applications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry and basic cost calculations.
• Experience with Microsoft Access or similar databases.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify cabinet layouts using Cabinet Vision with a focus on functionality and buildability.
• Detail cabinet designs ensuring measurements, hardware placements, and functional elements are accurate.
• Generate material take-offs and input cost data into Excel for customer pricing.
• Evaluate designs for practicality and identify issues with drawer placement, hardware, and operation.
• Collaborate with production to ensure designs can be manufactured efficiently.
• Maintain design files and documentation.
• Adjust designs based on customer feedback while preserving integrity.
• Coordinate licensing availability to maximize drafting utilization after hours when needed.
