Job summary

Interview Kickstart is hiring a backend engineer for a fully remote role. You will own features end-to-end, from design to deployment, and build robust RESTful APIs using Python with Django/DRF. You will write tests, triage production issues, and collaborate with product and design to deliver solid technical solutions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed CS degree.
• Experience with Python and Django/DRF required.
• Familiarity with Git and SQL.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities; independent learning welcomed.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Own the backend for features end-to-end—from design to deployment.
• Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs; improve performance and reliability.
• Write clean, well-tested code and own unit/integration tests.
• Triage and resolve production issues; then continue planned sprint work.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineers to translate requirements into solutions.
• Review code and help raise engineering standards across the team.
• Bonus: contribute to NextJS/jQuery front end.
